Summary:
Responsible for the successful overall direction of the Slot Maintenance Department, ensuring the smooth and effective operation of all slot maintenance operations in accordance with established guidelines and company policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members. Performs excellent customer service at all time.
Develops and implements an effective strategy for growth and efficiency of operations in the Slot Maintenance Department.
Reviews and evaluates regularly slot maintenance departmental performance, working through department heads to take appropriate steps in resolving satisfactory results or conditions.
Assures the smooth and effective operation of all slot maintenance operations and implements machine compliance with approved company policy and rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission.
Assists in conducting monthly review of all machines for profitability and player appeal, making, making any immediate changes as necessary.
Coordinates slot machine moves with slot manufactory and appropriate in-house programs in the Slot Maintenance Department.
Develops and implements departmental training programs in the Slot Maintenance Department.
Maintains records of reel percentage sheets as required by the Gaming Commission and Finance Department.
Enforces performance standards, policies, and procedures as they relate to span of control.
Sets priorities for Slot Maintenance Staff, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
Maintains appropriate staffing levels in the department by interviewing, selecting, training, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and terminating Team Members as needed.
Develops, administers, and manages the budget for the Slot Maintenance Department.
Keeps all equipment in a functional state of repair through observation, evaluation and preventative maintenance schedules.
Monitors the performance of all outside services and the execution of all maintenance contracts.
Initiates and maintains communications with subordinates, Team Members, management, and other departments.
Maintains a consistent, regular attendance record.
Performs any reasonable request made by management.
SUPERVISORY
Responsibilities:
Directly supervises Slot Tech Supervisor and indirectly supervises the activities of the Slot Maintenance Department.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
High school diploma/GED required. A technical degree in electronics or an equivalent combination of education and experience in electronics and maintenance of technical equipment. Four to six years experience working in the maintenance of gaming devices or slot machines with progressive supervisory experience required.
SPECIAL
Qualifications:
Strong computer skills required in appropriate software. Strong organizational and communication skills required Must possess thorough technical knowledge of slot machines and all slot peripheral equipment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of Customers or Team Members.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member regularly works near electrical and moving mechanical parts such a gaming machines and is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock and radiation.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. When on the casino floor, the Team Member will be exposed to a smoke-filled environment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
